PRODUCT INFORMATION

U-40 insulin syringes are designed for use with veterinary insulin preparations containing 40 IU/ml, including ProZinc and Caninsulin.

These single-use syringes allow accurate subcutaneous administration of insulin in dogs and cats diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.

Two volume options are available:

• 0.5ml U-40 29Gx1/2" syringes – suitable for most feline patients and lower dose requirements
• 1ml U-40 29Gx1/2" syringes – suitable for higher dose requirements

Always confirm insulin strength before use. These syringes are not suitable for U-100 insulin preparations.

This product is supplied as a veterinary medical consumable.

Safe Disposal of Used Syringes

Used insulin syringes are classified as clinical sharps and must be disposed of safely.

After use, syringes should be placed immediately into a rigid sharps container. A 0.5 litre sharps container is typically suitable for home insulin use.

Sharps must not be placed in household waste.

Many veterinary practices accept filled sharps containers from their clients. Some local councils provide clinical waste collection services. Owners should contact their local authority for guidance.

It is the pet owner’s responsibility to ensure safe disposal in accordance with local regulations.
