Pet insurance claims

If your pet is insured, you can usually claim back the cost of medications and supplements purchased from Vetalia. Claims are handled directly by the policyholder, and we provide clear, itemised invoices suitable for submission to most UK pet insurers.

How to claim on pet insurance – step by step guide

How pet insurance claims work

When you order from Vetalia, you pay us directly at checkout. After your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a clear, itemised invoice showing the products supplied and the amount paid.

You then submit this invoice to your pet insurance provider, usually alongside the original veterinary prescription or clinical invoice from your vet. Your insurer reimburses you according to the terms of your individual policy.

What Vetalia does (and doesn’t) do

  • We provide fully itemised invoices suitable for insurance claims
  • We can reissue invoices if your insurer requests clarification
  • Insurance claims are submitted by the policyholder
  • We don’t offer direct claims to insurers

Important note:
Insurance cover, reimbursement amounts, and excesses depend on your individual policy. While most UK pet insurers accept pharmacy invoices, we can’t guarantee acceptance or reimbursement.

If your insurer has a question about your invoice, you’re welcome to contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
