PRODUCT INFORMATION
Caninsulin 40 IU/ml contains porcine insulin and is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats.
Caninsulin is a U-40 insulin suspension for veterinary use and is administered by subcutaneous injection. It is commonly prescribed for diabetic dogs and may also be used in cats according to veterinary direction.
Caninsulin may be prescribed for animals requiring insulin therapy to regulate blood glucose concentrations and improve associated clinical signs including polyuria, polydipsia, weight loss and lethargy.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, frequency of administration and ongoing monitoring requirements are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label. Caninsulin must be used with compatible U-40 insulin syringes.

Cold Chain Handling & Delivery
Caninsulin must be stored between 2–8°C and protected from freezing immediately on receipt.
All refrigerated medicines are dispatched using validated insulated packaging tested to maintain temperature stability for over 72 hours.
Orders are sent via Royal Mail Signed 24 and must be received in person.
If delivery is missed, delayed, redirected or left unattended, temperature integrity cannot be guaranteed. Once dispatched, the cost of refrigerated medicines cannot be refunded.
Cold-chain medicines are dispatched Monday–Thursday to avoid weekend transit delays.
