The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus Sensor is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device designed to provide real-time glucose readings without the need for repeated blood sampling.
It is used in veterinary practice to support monitoring of glucose levels in diabetic patients, allowing trends and patterns to be assessed over time and helping guide treatment decisions.
The sensor is applied to the skin and measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid, transmitting readings automatically to a compatible smartphone. This provides continuous, real-time glucose data throughout the day and night without the need to scan the sensor.
The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus Sensor is small and discreet, which can be particularly beneficial for smaller patients or those prone to dislodging devices.
Each sensor is designed to be worn for up to 15 days, offering a convenient and minimally invasive method of glucose monitoring.

Important Information
This device is used in veterinary patients as part of clinical management.
Use should be directed by a veterinary surgeon.
Accuracy may vary depending on placement, adhesion, sensor tolerance, and individual patient factors.
Glucose readings from interstitial fluid may not always exactly match blood glucose readings, particularly during rapid glucose changes.
Compatible smartphone, app access, and account setup may be required. Compatibility should be checked before purchase.
