The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device that provides real-time glucose readings without the need for repeated blood sampling.
It is widely used in veterinary practice to support the monitoring of glucose levels in diabetic patients, allowing trends to be assessed over time and helping guide clinical decision-making.
The sensor is applied to the skin and measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid, transmitting readings directly to a compatible smartphone or reader device. It provides continuous data throughout the day and night, helping to identify patterns, fluctuations, and responses to treatment.
Each sensor is designed to be worn for up to 15 days, offering a convenient and minimally invasive way to monitor glucose levels over an extended period.
