The AlphaTRAK 3 Diabetic Blood Glucose Monitoring System is a veterinary-calibrated glucometer designed specifically for use in cats and dogs. Unlike human meters, AlphaTRAK 3 is species-specific, providing more accurate blood glucose readings in companion animals.
This starter kit is commonly recommended for newly diagnosed diabetic pets or for animals already receiving insulin therapy where home monitoring has been advised by a veterinary surgeon. Home testing can help reduce stress-related glucose fluctuations associated with clinic visits and can support ongoing diabetic management.
Blood glucose monitoring at home should only be undertaken following direct instruction from your veterinary surgeon, who can advise on sampling technique, testing frequency, and interpretation of results as part of an overall treatment plan.
