PRODUCT INFORMATION

Libromide Tablets are a prescription-only veterinary medicine used in the management of epilepsy in dogs.

**Libromide 325mg tablets are currently unavailable until April 2026. Please speak to your prescribing veterinary surgeon about suitable alternatives, such as Vetbromide 600mg Tablets for dogs or Epilease 250mg tablets for dogs

Libromide contains potassium bromide, an antiepileptic agent that may be prescribed as part of long-term seizure control, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antiepileptic medicines, in accordance with the clinical judgement of the prescribing veterinary surgeon.

Potassium bromide has a long half-life and is typically used for maintenance therapy, with dosing and serum concentrations monitored by the prescribing veterinary surgeon to optimise seizure control and minimise adverse effects.

Libromide Tablets are available in a tablet formulation to allow accurate dosing based on individual patient requirements. Treatment is usually long term and requires regular clinical review.

This product is a Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian (POM-V).

Dosage, frequency of treatment, and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and are provided on the dispensing label.

Further information, including contraindications, precautions, and potential adverse reactions, can be found in the product datasheet available here.
