PRODUCT INFORMATION
Ypozane Tablets contain osaterone acetate and are indicated for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in intact male dogs.
Osaterone acetate is an anti-androgen that reduces the effect of testosterone on prostatic tissue by blocking androgen receptors within the prostate gland. This leads to a reduction in prostate size and improvement in associated clinical signs.
Ypozane may be prescribed for male dogs presenting with clinical signs consistent with BPH, including straining to pass faeces, ribbon-shaped stools, haematuria, discomfort, or prostatic enlargement identified during veterinary examination.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, strength selection, and duration of treatment are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label. Ypozane is administered once daily for seven consecutive days according to bodyweight.
