PRODUCT INFORMATION

Vitamivet K1 50mg Tablets contain phytomenadione (Vitamin K1) and are indicated for use in dogs following exposure to anticoagulant rodenticides. These products interfere with the recycling of Vitamin K1 in the liver, preventing the activation of clotting factors II, VII, IX and X and leading to potentially life-threatening haemorrhage.

Oral Vitamin K1 therapy is an essential component of treatment once initial stabilisation has been achieved, particularly after emergency parenteral administration in acute cases. Ongoing supplementation supports restoration of normal coagulation pathways while the rodenticide is metabolised and cleared.

Vitamivet K1 provides:

50mg phytomenadione per film-coated, scored tablet
Flexible dosing through tablet division
A veterinary-licensed oral continuation option following injectable therapy

Treatment duration typically extends for at least 21 days, depending on the specific rodenticide involved and coagulation monitoring results. Prothrombin time testing is recommended prior to discontinuation to reduce risk of relapse.

Pack Size: 14 tablets
Legal Category: NFA-VPS (No written prescription required)

This product should only be supplied under appropriate veterinary supervision. If rodenticide ingestion is suspected, immediate veterinary assessment is essential.
