- Prescription must match the product, strength and formulation ordered.
- For orders involving more than one pet, a separate prescription is required.
- Uploaded prescriptions are valid for up to 6 months or until the prescribed number of repeats has been supplied, whichever comes first. In accordance with UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, we are legally required to retain veterinary prescriptions for a minimum of 5 years.
All orders are reviewed by our veterinary team. Prescription checks are typically completed the same day. Orders are dispatched once checks are complete and the medication is ready for dispatch. Read our prescription policy.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
For the reduction of proteinuria associated with chronic kidney disease in cats.
Vikaly Medicated Food for Cats is a prescription-only medicated diet containing benazepril. It combines veterinary medication with a complete renal diet in a single dry food formulation.
Benazepril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor used to help reduce protein loss through the kidneys. The renal diet is formulated to provide nutritional support for cats with chronic kidney disease.
Vikaly is designed to simplify treatment by incorporating the prescribed daily medication into the cat’s food. The quantity fed must be calculated according to the cat’s body weight and the dosing instructions provided by the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
To ensure the correct dose is administered, Vikaly should be fed exactly as prescribed and should not be mixed with other foods unless specifically advised by your veterinary surgeon.
Regular veterinary monitoring remains essential during treatment, including assessment of kidney function, hydration, blood pressure and urinary protein levels where appropriate.
Vikaly should only be used under veterinary supervision and is supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
Each bag contains 1.5kg of medicated dry cat food.
Please read the packaging and accompanying product information carefully before use. Contact your veterinary surgeon if your cat refuses the food, eats substantially more or less than the prescribed quantity, or develops any unexpected symptoms.
