PRODUCT INFORMATION
VetPlus Colaid is a complementary feed supplement formulated to help maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract in dogs.
Colaid contains a carefully selected combination of prebiotics, amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins and other nutrients that support the intestinal lining, beneficial gut bacteria and normal immune function.
The capsules can be given whole or opened and sprinkled onto food, making Colaid suitable for both short-term and longer-term digestive support.
Pack size: 90 sprinkle capsules.
How can Colaid support your dog?
The gastrointestinal tract plays an important role in digestion, nutrient absorption, immune function and general health. Colaid provides nutritional support for the intestinal environment and the cells lining the digestive tract.
Colaid may be recommended for dogs that:
- Require ongoing gastrointestinal support
- Regularly experience digestive upset
- Have sensitive digestion
- Are recovering following gastrointestinal surgery
- Have undergone other interventions affecting the digestive system
- Would benefit from additional support for the intestinal lining and gut microbiota
Digestive problems can have many different causes. Colaid may be used alongside appropriate dietary management, veterinary treatment and other supportive measures where required.
Key ingredients
Fructooligosaccharides
Fructooligosaccharides, commonly known as FOS, are prebiotic fibres. They help support beneficial bacteria within the gastrointestinal tract and contribute to a healthy intestinal environment.
L-glutamine
L-glutamine is an amino acid that provides nutritional support for the rapidly dividing cells lining the intestine and helps maintain normal intestinal function.
L-arginine and aspartic acid
These amino acids support normal cellular metabolism and provide additional nutritional support for the cells of the gastrointestinal tract.
N-acetyl D-glucosamine
N-acetyl D-glucosamine provides nutritional support for the intestinal mucosal barrier, which forms an important protective layer within the gastrointestinal tract.
Ginger oil
Ginger oil is included to support normal digestive health and gastrointestinal function.
Quercetin
Quercetin is a naturally occurring antioxidant that helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
Vitamins A and E
Vitamin A supports the maintenance of normal epithelial tissues, including the cells lining the gastrointestinal tract. Vitamin E provides antioxidant support and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
Zinc
Zinc supports normal immune function, antioxidant defences and the maintenance of healthy tissues.
