PRODUCT INFORMATION
Thiamacare Oral Solution for Cats 10 mg/ml is a prescription-only veterinary medicine used for the management of feline hyperthyroidism.
It contains thiamazole (methimazole), an antithyroid medication commonly prescribed in cats to reduce excessive thyroid hormone production and control the clinical signs associated with an overactive thyroid gland. The oral solution formulation allows accurate dose adjustment and is particularly useful for cats that are difficult to medicate with tablets.
Learn more about hyperthyroidism in cats here.
Thiamacare Oral Solution may be prescribed for long-term management, with dosing adjusted over time based on clinical response and thyroid hormone monitoring, in accordance with the clinical judgement of the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, duration of treatment, and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label. Cats receiving ongoing treatment for hyperthyroidism require regular blood monitoring as advised by their vet.
