PRODUCT INFORMATION
Thiafeline Film-Coated Tablets for Cats are a prescription-only veterinary medicine used for the management of feline hyperthyroidism.
Thiafeline contains thiamazole (also known as methimazole), an antithyroid medication widely prescribed for cats to reduce excessive thyroid hormone production and control the clinical signs associated with an overactive thyroid gland. Thiafeline tablets are film-coated and designed for accurate oral dosing in cats requiring medical management of hyperthyroidism.
Thiafeline tablets may be prescribed for long-term treatment of feline hyperthyroidism, with dosage adjusted over time according to clinical response and thyroid hormone monitoring, in accordance with the clinical judgement of the prescribing veterinary surgeon. Medical management with thiamazole is commonly used where radioactive iodine therapy or surgical thyroidectomy are not pursued.

This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, duration of treatment and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label. Cats receiving ongoing treatment with Thiafeline for hyperthyroidism require regular blood testing and monitoring as advised by their vet.
