PRODUCT INFORMATION
Tessie Oral Solution for Situational Anxiety in Dogs
Tessie is a fast acting oral solution used for the alleviation of situational anxiety and fear in dogs triggered by noise events or owner departure.
The oral liquid contains tasipimidine and is designed to help reduce both the behavioural and physical signs of anxiety associated with predictable stressful events including fireworks, thunderstorms, travel, visitors or separation related distress.
Fast acting anxiety support for dogs
Tessie begins to take effect within approximately one hour of administration and provides relief for at least three hours. The oral solution can be administered before an anticipated stressful event or as soon as the first signs of anxiety are noticed.
The product is supplied as an easy to administer oral liquid with accurate syringe dosing and may be re-dosed after at least three hours if required.
How does Tessie work?
Tessie contains tasipimidine which binds to alpha-2A adrenergic receptors within the central nervous system. This reduces the release of noradrenaline, helping to decrease the physiological and behavioural signs associated with fear and anxiety.
Situational anxiety in dogs may present as pacing, trembling, vocalisation, panting, destructive behaviour, hiding or restlessness during stressful events.
Easy oral dosing
Tessie is administered orally at a dose of 1ml per 10kg bodyweight approximately one hour before the expected trigger event or owner departure.
Dogs should not be fed from one hour before until one hour after treatment as food may delay absorption. A small treat may be given to assist administration if required.
The product can be administered up to three times within a 24 hour period with at least three hours between doses.
Refrigerated veterinary medicine
Tessie is a refrigerated medication and is shipped using insulated cold chain packaging to maintain appropriate transport temperatures during delivery. Please refrigerate on arrival.
