PRODUCT INFORMATION
Solensia Solution for Injection is a prescription-only veterinary medicine used for the management of osteoarthritis-associated pain in cats.
It contains frunevetmab, a monoclonal antibody that targets nerve growth factor (NGF), a key mediator involved in osteoarthritic pain. Solensia provides targeted pain control and is indicated for cats showing clinical signs of osteoarthritis.
Solensia is typically administered as a once-monthly subcutaneous injection, with the dose selected according to the cat’s body weight and clinical response. Administration may be carried out by a veterinary surgeon, or by the owner following direct instruction and training from their primary care veterinary practice.
Syringes and needles are not supplied and must be obtained directly from the veterinary practice.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Solensia will be supplied following receipt of a valid veterinary prescription. Ongoing clinical monitoring by the primary care veterinary practice is recommended as part of long-term management.
Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the product data sheet available here.
