PRODUCT INFORMATION

For the management of noise-related anxiety in dogs.

Sileo Oromucosal Gel is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing dexmedetomidine, licensed for use in dogs.

Sileo is indicated for the treatment of acute noise-associated anxiety and fear, such as that caused by fireworks, thunderstorms, or gunshots. It is designed to be administered to the oral mucosa and used before or during exposure to a known noise trigger, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Dexmedetomidine acts on central alpha-2 adrenoceptors to reduce anxiety while allowing the dog to remain conscious and responsive when used correctly. Sileo is not a sedative when used as prescribed.

Sileo should only be used under the direction of a veterinary surgeon and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.

Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the official product data sheet here.
