PRODUCT INFORMATION

Denamarin Advanced is a veterinary nutritional supplement used to support liver function and gastrointestinal health in dogs.

It contains S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) and silybin, a highly bioavailable form of milk thistle extract, which work together to support normal liver metabolism, antioxidant activity, and hepatocellular health.

Denamarin Advanced is commonly used in dogs with liver disease, elevated liver enzymes, or where additional hepatic support has been recommended by a veterinary surgeon.

This advanced formulation also includes ingredients to support gastrointestinal health, recognising the close relationship between the liver and the gut.

Denamarin Advanced is supplied as palatable chewable tablets that are easy to administer, making it suitable for both short-term and long-term nutritional support as part of a veterinary-guided management plan.

Denamarin Advanced is not a prescription medicine.

What Denamarin Advanced is used for

Denamarin Advanced is used to provide nutritional support for dogs with liver disease or impaired liver function. It is commonly recommended where blood tests show raised liver enzymes, where there is evidence of hepatocellular damage, or where ongoing liver support is considered beneficial.

The liver plays a central role in metabolism, detoxification, nutrient processing, and the production of important proteins. When liver function is compromised, supportive care may form an important part of long-term management.

Denamarin Advanced may be used in dogs with a range of hepatic conditions, or in patients where the liver is under additional strain and veterinary nutritional support is advised.

Its formulation also includes support for gastrointestinal health, which may be useful in dogs where digestive and hepatic function are closely linked.

How Denamarin Advanced works

Denamarin Advanced contains SAMe and silybin, two ingredients widely used to support liver health in dogs.

SAMe is involved in normal liver metabolism and helps support the production of important compounds involved in detoxification and antioxidant defence. It contributes to the liver’s natural protective processes and supports normal cellular function.

Silybin is a highly bioavailable extract derived from milk thistle. It is used to support hepatocellular health and provide antioxidant support, helping protect liver cells from oxidative stress.

Together, these ingredients are used to support normal liver function and help maintain hepatic health in dogs requiring additional nutritional support.

Ingredients and composition

Denamarin Advanced contains SAMe, provided by inactivated yeast, and silybin, derived from milk thistle extract.

Denamarin Advanced for Dogs under 10kg

Denamarin Advanced for Dogs over 10kg

Sensory additives: Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn, containing silybin, 24,000mg/kg.

Technological additives: Lecithins.

Composition: Inactivated yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) containing SAMe, sucrose, inactivated hydrolysed brewer’s yeast, refined hydrogenated cottonseed oil, and sodium chloride.

Administration

Denamarin Advanced is supplied as chewable tablets for oral administration.

The amount given will depend on the size of the dog and the veterinary recommendation. Owners should follow the product guidance and any specific instructions provided by their veterinary surgeon.

Because liver conditions may require ongoing support, Denamarin Advanced may be used for short-term or long-term supplementation depending on the patient’s clinical needs.

Monitoring during use

Dogs receiving liver support often require ongoing veterinary monitoring, particularly if they are being treated for underlying liver disease.

Monitoring may include blood tests to assess liver enzymes and other indicators of hepatic function, along with clinical reassessment of appetite, weight, digestion, and general wellbeing.

Your veterinary surgeon will advise on the most appropriate monitoring plan for your dog based on the underlying condition and response to treatment.

Important information

Denamarin Advanced is a nutritional supplement and is not a prescription medicine.

It should be used as part of a veterinary-guided management plan where liver support is considered appropriate. The choice of supplement, duration of use, and any additional investigations or treatments should be determined by your veterinary surgeon.

Further information about ingredients, usage guidance, and product details can be found in the manufacturer’s product information.
