PRODUCT INFORMATION

Prednicortone 5mg tablets contain prednisolone, a corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions in both dogs and cats. It replaces Prednidale 5mg tablets and contains the same active ingredient, providing equivalent therapeutic effect.

Prednisolone works by reducing inflammation and suppressing excessive immune responses. It is commonly prescribed for allergic skin disease, inflammatory bowel disease, respiratory inflammation, autoimmune disorders and certain cancer treatment protocols.

Tablets are scored where applicable to help achieve accurate dosing. Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual patient. Always administer exactly as prescribed by your veterinary surgeon. Long-term corticosteroid therapy should not be stopped suddenly unless your vet advises a gradual dose reduction.

Important information:
Prednicortone is a Prescription Only Veterinary Medicine (POM-V). A valid veterinary prescription is required before this medication can be dispensed. Use only as directed by your vet.

Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the product data sheet available here.
