PRODUCT INFORMATION
Ophtocycline Eye Ointment 10mg/g is a prescription-only veterinary ophthalmic medicine containing chlortetracycline hydrochloride. It is supplied in a 5g tube and is licensed for use in dogs, cats and horses.
What is Ophtocycline used for?
Ophtocycline is an antibiotic eye ointment used for the treatment of keratitis, conjunctivitis and blepharitis caused by susceptible bacteria in dogs, cats and horses. Treatment should follow veterinary examination and appropriate antimicrobial prescribing principles.
Active ingredient
Each gram of ointment contains chlortetracycline hydrochloride equivalent to 10mg chlortetracycline.
Administration
Ophtocycline is for ocular use. Administer exactly as directed by your veterinary surgeon and veterinary prescription. Avoid touching the eye or eyelids with the tube nozzle during application.
Prescription requirements
Ophtocycline is a POM-V (Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian). A valid veterinary prescription is required before Vetalia can supply this medicine.
