PRODUCT INFORMATION

Milbemax Worming Tablets for Dogs and Cats are a prescription-only veterinary worming treatment containing milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Different strengths are available for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens according to bodyweight.

Milbemax combines two active ingredients to treat mixed infections with certain intestinal roundworms and tapeworms. Depending on the species and formulation, Milbemax also has licensed indications relating to lungworm and heartworm. Always use the strength and dose prescribed by your veterinary surgeon.

Milbemax strengths and weight ranges

  • 4mg/10mg – small cats and kittens weighing 0.5kg–2kg.
  • 16mg/40mg – cats weighing 2kg and over.
  • 2.5mg/25mg – puppies and small dogs weighing 0.5kg–5kg.
  • 12.5mg/125mg – dogs weighing 5kg and over.

What does Milbemax contain?

Milbemax contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. The correct tablet strength and number of tablets depends on your pet's species, bodyweight and the treatment prescribed by your veterinary surgeon.

What is Milbemax used for?

Milbemax is licensed for the treatment of mixed infections involving certain adult tapeworms and roundworms in dogs and cats. The precise licensed indications differ between the dog and cat formulations, so treatment should follow your veterinary prescription and the product data sheet.

How is Milbemax given?
