- For orders involving more than one pet, a separate prescription is required.
- Uploaded prescriptions are valid for up to 6 months or until the prescribed number of repeats has been supplied, whichever comes first. In accordance with UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, we are legally required to retain veterinary prescriptions for a minimum of 5 years.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Metrocare Flavour Tablets are a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing metronidazole, licensed for dogs and cats. Vetalia supplies Metrocare as individual tablets in 250mg and 500mg strengths so the quantity dispensed can match the veterinary prescription.
What is Metrocare used for?
Metrocare is licensed for the treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections caused by susceptible Giardia and Clostridia species, and infections of the urogenital tract, oral cavity, throat and skin caused by susceptible obligate anaerobic bacteria.
Available strengths
- 250mg – 250mg metronidazole per tablet.
- 500mg – 500mg metronidazole per tablet.
The tablets have a cross-shaped break line and can be divided into two or four equal parts to support accurate dosing.
Administration
Metrocare is administered orally. Give exactly as prescribed by your veterinary surgeon. Antimicrobial medicines should be used responsibly and the prescribed course should be followed unless your vet advises otherwise.

Metrocare is a POM-V (Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian). A valid veterinary prescription is required before Vetalia can dispense this medicine.
