Metacam Oral Suspension 0.5 mg/ml is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing meloxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), licensed for use in cats and guinea pigs.

Meloxicam acts by reducing the production of inflammatory mediators, helping to relieve pain and inflammation when used appropriately under veterinary supervision.

In cats, Metacam is used for the management of pain and inflammation, including peri-operative pain and certain chronic conditions, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

In guinea pigs, Metacam Oral Suspension is licensed for the alleviation of post-operative pain and inflammation, and should be administered strictly according to veterinary guidance.
