PRODUCT INFORMATION

Masivet tablets are a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing masitinib (as masitinib mesilate). They are licensed for use in dogs for the treatment of non-resectable mast cell tumours, particularly those with confirmed mutations of the c-Kit receptor.

Masitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets specific cellular signalling pathways involved in tumour growth and mast cell proliferation. By inhibiting these pathways, the medicine can slow tumour progression and help control disease in affected dogs.

Masivet is administered orally and should be used strictly according to the instructions provided by the prescribing veterinary surgeon. Dose adjustments, monitoring and ongoing clinical assessment may be required during treatment.

Masivet tablets should be handled with care. Owners should avoid direct contact with broken or damaged tablets and wash their hands after handling the medication. Pregnant women or individuals who may be trying to conceive should avoid handling the tablets or administering the medication where possible. If accidental exposure occurs, medical advice should be sought. Tablets should be administered whole and should not be crushed or broken unless specifically directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Masivet should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
