PRODUCT INFORMATION
Please contact your veterinary surgeon to discuss alternative options such as Vetbromide or Epilease which are available immediately.
Libromide contains potassium bromide, an antiepileptic agent that may be prescribed as part of long-term seizure control, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antiepileptic medicines, in accordance with the clinical judgement of the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
Potassium bromide has a long half-life and is typically used for maintenance therapy, with dosing and serum concentrations monitored by the prescribing veterinary surgeon to optimise seizure control and minimise adverse effects.
Libromide Tablets are available in a tablet formulation to allow accurate dosing based on individual patient requirements. Treatment is usually long term and requires regular clinical review.
This product is a Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian (POM-V).
Dosage, frequency of treatment, and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and are provided on the dispensing label.
Further information, including contraindications, precautions, and potential adverse reactions, can be found in the product datasheet available here.
