  • Uploaded prescriptions are valid for up to 6 months or until the prescribed number of repeats has been supplied, whichever comes first. In accordance with UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, we are legally required to retain veterinary prescriptions for a minimum of 5 years.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Isemid chewable tablets contain torasemide, a loop diuretic used in dogs to manage congestive heart failure and associated fluid accumulation.

It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as pulmonary oedema and effusions, where reducing fluid overload is essential to improve breathing and overall comfort. Torasemide works by increasing the excretion of sodium and water via the kidneys, helping to reduce circulating volume and cardiac workload.

Isemid has a longer duration of action than furosemide and may allow for once daily dosing in some patients, depending on clinical response and veterinary guidance.

As a licensed veterinary medicine in the UK, Isemid must be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon and supplied against a valid prescription.
