PRODUCT INFORMATION
For the management of fluid retention associated with heart disease and other conditions.
Furosemide is a prescription-only veterinary medicine licensed for use in dogs and cats. It is a loop diuretic used to reduce fluid accumulation associated with congestive heart failure, pulmonary oedema, and other conditions where fluid retention is present.
Furosemide works by increasing urine production, helping to remove excess fluid from the body and reduce the workload on the heart. It is commonly used as part of a multimodal treatment plan alongside other cardiac medications, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.
Tablets may be supplied either as individual tablets dispensed from original manufacturer packaging or as full sealed tubs (20 mg: 500 tablets; 40 mg: 1000 tablets), depending on the option selected and the veterinary prescription.
Furosemide should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
