PRODUCT INFORMATION
Finilac is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing cabergoline, indicated for the management of pseudopregnancy (false pregnancy) in bitches and for suppression of lactation where clinically appropriate in dogs and cats.
Cabergoline is a dopamine agonist that reduces prolactin secretion. Lowering circulating prolactin levels helps resolve clinical signs associated with pseudopregnancy and inappropriate lactation, including mammary development, milk production, nesting behaviour, and associated behavioural changes.
Finilac may be prescribed where clinical signs are persistent, severe, or causing distress. The duration of treatment and dosage are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon based on the individual patient’s clinical presentation.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, duration of treatment, and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and will be provided on the dispensing label. Animals receiving cabergoline should be monitored as advised by their vet.
