PRODUCT INFORMATION
For the treatment of bacterial and protozoal infections in dogs caused by organisms susceptible to metronidazole.
Eradia Oral Suspension is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing metronidazole. It is licensed for use in dogs for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections including those caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
Metronidazole is active against a range of anaerobic organisms and certain protozoal species. It works by disrupting DNA synthesis within susceptible microorganisms, leading to inhibition of growth and bacterial cell death.
Eradia is supplied as a ready-to-administer oral suspension to allow accurate weight-based dosing in dogs. The duration of treatment and dosage should be determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and must be completed as directed to reduce the risk of antimicrobial resistance.
Eradia should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
