PRODUCT INFORMATION
Epityl Flavoured Tablets are a prescription-only veterinary medicine used in the management of epilepsy in dogs.
Epityl contains phenobarbital, an antiepileptic agent that may be prescribed to reduce the frequency and severity of seizure activity, in accordance with the clinical judgement of the prescribing veterinary surgeon.

The flavoured tablet formulation may aid administration in dogs requiring long-term antiepileptic therapy. Treatment is typically ongoing and requires regular clinical monitoring, including serum phenobarbital concentrations, as directed by the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
Epityl is a Schedule 3 controlled veterinary medicine. A valid written prescription is required before supply. Prescriptions for Schedule 3 medicines are valid for 28 days from the date of issue and may only be dispensed once, unless issued as an instalment prescription by the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
Prescriptions must be signed in ink by the prescribing veterinary surgeon. For Schedule 3 controlled drugs, the original hard-copy prescription must be sent by post before the medicine can be supplied. Instructions and the postal address for sending the prescription will be emailed after checkout.
Dosage, frequency of treatment, and administration instructions are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and are provided on the dispensing label.
In line with controlled drug governance requirements, Epityl is supplied using enhanced handling and delivery procedures, including signed-for delivery.
