PRODUCT INFORMATION
Epiphen Tablets are a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing phenobarbital, licensed for the management of epilepsy in dogs.
Phenobarbital is an antiepileptic drug used for the long-term control of seizure activity. Treatment is initiated and monitored by the prescribing veterinary surgeon, with dosage adjusted based on clinical response and, where appropriate, serum phenobarbital concentrations.
Epiphen Tablets are available in multiple strengths to allow accurate dosing tailored to the individual patient.
This product is classified as a Schedule 3 Controlled Drug (CD Sch 3) under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations.
A valid written veterinary prescription must be posted to Vetalia before supply can be made. Electronic copies or emailed scans are not sufficient for Schedule 3 Controlled Drugs. Full postal instructions will be emailed after checkout. Please allow up to a week for your order to be processed as there are regulatory checks that need to be carried out.
Due to its controlled drug status:
Prescriptions are valid for 28 days
Each prescription may be dispensed once only
Repeat prescriptions are not permitted
Delivery is by tracked, signed-for service
Dosage, duration of treatment, and monitoring requirements are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label.
