Dermanolon 1.77mg/ml + 17.7mg/ml Cutaneous Spray is a prescription-only veterinary medicine for dogs and cats containing triamcinolone acetonide and salicylic acid.
It is licensed for the symptomatic treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis in dogs and cats.
What does Dermanolon contain?
Each ml of Dermanolon contains:
- Triamcinolone acetonide 1.77mg
- Salicylic acid 17.7mg
Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid, while salicylic acid has keratolytic properties that help remove scaling and exfoliative debris from the skin.
What is Dermanolon used for?
Dermanolon is licensed for the symptomatic treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis in dogs and cats.
Before starting treatment, existing scale and exfoliative debris should be removed where necessary. Hair surrounding or covering affected areas may also need to be clipped to allow the medicine to reach the skin.
How is Dermanolon used?
Dermanolon is a cutaneous spray and should be used exactly as prescribed by your veterinary surgeon.
The dose, frequency and duration of treatment will depend on your pet's condition and the instructions provided on your veterinary prescription.
Important information
Dermanolon should not be used on cutaneous ulcers or in dogs with demodicosis. It should not be administered to animals weighing less than 3.5kg.
