PRODUCT INFORMATION

Cytopoint Solution for Injection is a prescription-only veterinary medicine used for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and allergic pruritus in dogs.

It contains lokivetmab, a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets canine interleukin-31 (IL-31), a key mediator involved in itch signalling. Cytopoint provides targeted itch control without the immunosuppressive effects associated with some alternative therapies.

Important: Cytopoint is administered by subcutaneous injection. Administration is typically carried out by your dog’s primary care veterinary practice. In some cases, and at the discretion of the prescribing veterinary surgeon, administration may be carried out at home following appropriate instruction.

Cytopoint is usually administered every 4 weeks, with the dose selected according to the dog’s body weight and clinical response.

This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).

Cytopoint will be supplied following receipt of a valid veterinary prescription. Your primary care veterinary practice remains responsible for prescribing decisions and ongoing clinical monitoring.

During periods of extreme hot or cold weather, Cytopoint will be supplied with appropriate insulation or ice packs to help maintain product integrity during transit.

Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the product data sheet available here.
