PRODUCT INFORMATION
Credelio Plus Chewable Tablets for Dogs are prescription-only veterinary medicines containing lotilaner and milbemycin oxime. They are used in dogs with, or at risk from, mixed infestations or infections involving external and internal parasites.
Credelio Plus is intended for use where treatment against fleas, ticks or mites is required at the same time as treatment against gastrointestinal nematodes, or where ectoparasite treatment is required alongside prevention of heartworm disease or angiostrongylosis.

What is Credelio Plus?
Credelio Plus contains two active ingredients:
- Lotilaner – an isoxazoline antiparasitic active against susceptible fleas, ticks and mites.
- Milbemycin oxime – a macrocyclic lactone active against susceptible gastrointestinal nematodes and used for prevention of heartworm disease and angiostrongylosis.
The combination allows treatment or prevention of certain external and internal parasites using a single chewable tablet.
What is Credelio Plus used for?
Credelio Plus is licensed for use in dogs with, or at risk from, mixed infestations or infections involving:
- Fleas
- Ticks
- Mites
- Gastrointestinal nematodes
- Heartworm
- Lungworm
It should only be used when treatment against fleas, ticks or mites and gastrointestinal nematodes is indicated at the same time, or when treatment against fleas, ticks or mites and prevention of heartworm disease or angiostrongylosis is indicated at the same time.
Flea and tick treatment
Credelio Plus is licensed for the treatment of flea infestations caused by Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis.
It is also licensed for the treatment of tick infestations including Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes hexagonus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.
The product provides immediate and persistent killing activity against susceptible fleas and ticks for 1 month.

For dogs weighing more than 45kg, an appropriate combination of available tablet strengths may be prescribed.

How is Credelio Plus given?
Credelio Plus is administered orally and should be given with food or after feeding.
The dose, frequency and duration of treatment depend on the parasites being treated or prevented and should follow the instructions provided by your veterinary surgeon.
Where monthly parasite protection is required, treatment may be repeated at monthly intervals according to veterinary advice and parasite risk.
Does Credelio Plus treat worms?
Yes. Unlike standard Credelio, Credelio Plus contains milbemycin oxime and therefore provides activity against specified internal parasites as well as fleas, ticks and mites.
However, the parasites covered and the treatment schedule vary according to the infection being treated or prevented. It should only be used according to the veterinary prescription and the product information supplied.
Important safety information
Do not use Credelio Plus in dogs with a known hypersensitivity to lotilaner, milbemycin oxime or any of the other ingredients.
Fleas and ticks must attach and begin feeding before they are exposed to lotilaner. Therefore, the possibility of transmission of parasite-borne diseases cannot be completely excluded.
Isoxazoline medicines have been associated with neurological adverse reactions in some animals. If your dog becomes unwell or develops unusual signs following administration, contact your veterinary surgeon.
Special considerations may apply before treatment in areas where heartworm or certain other parasites are present. Your veterinary surgeon will determine whether testing is required before treatment.
