PRODUCT INFORMATION
Coatex is an oral essential fatty acid supplement designed to support skin barrier function, coat quality, and inflammatory skin conditions in dogs and cats.
Coatex contains a balanced combination of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, including linoleic acid, EPA and DHA. These fatty acids are naturally present in the skin and play an important role in maintaining epidermal integrity, reducing transepidermal water loss, and modulating inflammatory responses associated with allergic and inflammatory skin disease.
Supplementation with Coatex may help improve pruritus, dry or flaky skin, excessive shedding, and dull coat quality, and is commonly used as part of a long-term dermatological management plan alongside other treatments prescribed by a veterinary surgeon.
Coatex is suitable for both dogs and cats and is available in capsule and liquid formulations to allow flexible dosing.
Dosage and administration
Oral administration. Capsules may be given whole or opened and mixed with food. Liquid formulations should be pumped directly onto food.
Dogs
• 1 capsule or 1 pump per 10 kg body weight, once daily
Cats
• 1 capsule or 1 pump once daily
For best results, Coatex® should be used continuously for a minimum of 6–8 weeks, or as advised by your veterinary surgeon.
