PRODUCT INFORMATION

For the treatment of separation-related disorders in dogs.

Clomicalm Tablets is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing clomipramine hydrochloride. It is licensed for use in dogs as part of a comprehensive behavioural management programme for separation-related anxiety.

Clomipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant that works by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and noradrenaline within the central nervous system. When used alongside appropriate behavioural modification techniques, it helps reduce anxiety-associated behaviours such as destructive behaviour, vocalisation and inappropriate elimination linked to separation.

Clomicalm is available in multiple strengths and should be administered strictly according to the prescribing veterinary surgeon’s instructions. Ongoing treatment should be monitored to assess clinical response and tolerability.

Clomicalm should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.

Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the product data sheet available here.
