Prescription Information
- Prescription must match the product, strength and formulation ordered.
- For orders involving more than one pet, a separate prescription is required.
- Uploaded prescriptions are valid for up to 6 months or until the prescribed number of repeats has been supplied, whichever comes first. In accordance with UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, we are legally required to retain veterinary prescriptions for a minimum of 5 years.
All orders are reviewed by our veterinary team. Prescription checks are typically completed the same day. Orders are dispatched once checks are complete and the medication is ready for dispatch. Read our prescription policy.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Carprox Vet Tablets are prescription-only veterinary medicines containing carprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used in dogs.
Carprox is licensed for the reduction of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders and degenerative joint disease. It may also be prescribed following injectable pain relief as part of the management of post-operative pain.
The tablets are meat-flavoured and scored, allowing them to be divided into two equal halves where required to provide the prescribed dose.

How to order
Carprox is a prescription-only veterinary medicine and can only be supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
Please select the strength and quantity stated on your prescription. The strength, quantity and dosing instructions must match the prescription supplied by your veterinary surgeon.
Important information
- For oral use in dogs only.
- Do not use in cats.
- Do not use in dogs under four months of age.
- Do not use in pregnant or lactating bitches.
- Do not give alongside another NSAID or a corticosteroid unless specifically directed by your veterinary surgeon.
Possible adverse effects associated with carprofen include vomiting, diarrhoea, loose stools, blood in the faeces, reduced appetite and lethargy. Rare renal or hepatic disorders may also occur. Stop treatment and contact your veterinary surgeon if your dog becomes unwell while receiving this medicine.
Storage
Do not store above 25°C. Keep the tablets in the original blister and outer carton to protect them from light and moisture.
Any divided tablet should be returned to the opened blister and used within 24 hours.
