PRODUCT INFORMATION

For the management of canine heart disease.

Cardalis is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing benazepril hydrochloride and spironolactone in a single tablet, licensed for use in dogs with heart disease.

Cardalis tablets are indicated for the treatment of congestive heart failure associated with atrioventricular valvular insufficiency. The combination of an ACE inhibitor and an aldosterone antagonist supports cardiovascular function by reducing cardiac workload and counteracting maladaptive neurohormonal activation.

Benazepril acts as a vasodilator, helping to reduce afterload and improve cardiac output, while spironolactone helps limit sodium and water retention and reduces the harmful effects of aldosterone on the heart and blood vessels.

Cardalis is commonly used as part of a multimodal cardiac treatment plan, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.
