PRODUCT INFORMATION

For the control of pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis and the control of clinical signs of atopic dermatitis in dogs.

Apoquel is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing oclacitinib, licensed for use in dogs. It is a targeted immunomodulatory treatment used in the management of allergic skin disease.

Oclacitinib works by selectively inhibiting Janus kinase (JAK) pathways involved in the signalling of pro-inflammatory cytokines associated with itch and inflammation. This helps to rapidly reduce pruritus and control clinical signs associated with allergic and atopic skin conditions.

Apoquel Film-Coated Tablets are commonly prescribed for both short-term and long-term management of allergic skin disease in dogs, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Apoquel should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.

Tablets may be supplied either as individual tablets dispensed from original manufacturer packaging or as full sealed manufacturer packs, depending on the option selected and the veterinary prescription.

Further information, including contraindications and potential side effects, can be found in the product data sheet available here.
