PRODUCT INFORMATION
Please contact your veterinary surgeon regarding alternative treatment options. In cases where licensed products are unavailable, your vet may consider prescribing an alternative under the veterinary cascade (such as a human generic). A new prescription would be required.
For the management of heart disease in dogs.
Prilactone Next is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing spironolactone, licensed for use in dogs as part of the management of congestive heart failure. It is an aldosterone antagonist with potassium-sparing diuretic properties.
Prilactone Next tablets are indicated for use in dogs with heart disease where aldosterone blockade is required as part of a multimodal treatment plan. By counteracting the effects of aldosterone, spironolactone helps reduce fluid retention and limits adverse cardiac remodelling.
Prilactone Next is commonly prescribed alongside other cardiac medications, such as diuretics and ACE inhibitors, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.
Prilactone Next should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
Tablets may be supplied either as individual tablets dispensed from original manufacturer packaging or as full sealed manufacturer packs, depending on the option selected and the veterinary prescription.
