PRODUCT INFORMATION
There is no direct like-for-like alternative. Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe an alternative ophthalmic antibiotic (e.g. chloramphenicol) if treatment is required.
For the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis in dogs and cats.
Isathal 10mg/g Eye Drops is a prescription-only veterinary medicine containing fusidic acid, a bacteriostatic antibiotic licensed for use in dogs and cats.
Fusidic acid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, helping to control susceptible Gram-positive bacteria commonly involved in superficial ocular infections. The viscous formulation prolongs contact time with the surface of the eye, allowing effective treatment with typically twice-daily administration as directed by a veterinary surgeon.
Isathal Eye Drops are indicated for bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial eye infections where appropriate. Treatment response and duration should be monitored by a veterinary surgeon to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.
Isathal should only be used under veterinary supervision and supplied against a valid veterinary prescription.
