- Prescription must match the product, strength and formulation ordered.
- For orders involving more than one pet, a separate prescription is required.
- Uploaded prescriptions are valid for up to 6 months or until the prescribed number of repeats has been supplied, whichever comes first. In accordance with UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, we are legally required to retain veterinary prescriptions for a minimum of 5 years.
All orders are reviewed by our veterinary team. Prescription checks are typically completed the same day. Orders are dispatched once checks are complete and the medication is ready for dispatch. Read our prescription policy.

Caninsulin 40 IU/ml contains porcine insulin and is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats.
These 2.7ml cartridges are specifically designed for use with the Caninsulin VetPen device and allow accurate, controlled dose delivery in animals prescribed insulin therapy.
Caninsulin may be prescribed for diabetic dogs and cats to regulate blood glucose concentrations and improve associated clinical signs including polyuria, polydipsia, weight loss and lethargy.
This product is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V).
Dosage, frequency of administration and delivery system are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon and provided on the dispensing label.
These cartridges must only be used with a compatible Caninsulin VetPen and appropriate pen needles. They are not suitable for use with standard insulin syringes.

Cold Chain Handling & Delivery
Caninsulin VetPen cartridges must be stored between 2–8°C and protected from freezing immediately on receipt.
All refrigerated medicines are dispatched using validated insulated packaging designed to maintain temperature stability for over 72 hours.
Orders are sent via Royal Mail Signed 24. An adult must be available to receive the parcel.
If delivery is missed, delayed, redirected or left unattended, temperature integrity cannot be guaranteed. Once dispatched, the cost of refrigerated medicines cannot be refunded.
Cold-chain medicines are dispatched Monday–Thursday to avoid weekend transit delays.
